Application
Taru powder flares are used in warm cloud seeding scenarios and can be dispersed from both top and bottom seeding approaches. Depending on the application technique, Taru powder flares can be used to increase liquid precipitation, and are commonly used for:
- Rain enhancement
- Fog and Smog dispersal
Performance Benefits of TARU
Our new powder flares are designed to minimize active material loss through precipitation on the flare wall and maximize effectiveness. Laboratory tests of the Taru Powder flare demonstrate better droplet formation than comparable products due to strictly regulated particle size.

CST‘s new burn-in-place flares use fully combustible tubes, minimising active material loss through precipitation on the flare wall, and maximising overall effectiveness.
